Few Things To Do Each Morning To Start Your Day On A Positive Note

How you start your morning sets the tone for the rest of the day. So if you want to be productive, feel energized and happy, and incorporate these five practices into your daily life.

1.Meditation
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
Joshua 1:8
Oh how love I Thy law! it is my meditation all the day.” Psalm 119:97

Christianity is not a legal relationship, it is a love relationship. Ten thousand “don'ts” will never make you one iota more like the Lord Jesus Christ. It is Jesus Himself Who makes you like Him. But you need to spend time with Him. I want to give you five factors for spending some quiet time with Him each day.You must find the right time. Your quiet time should last at least half an hour. But some time is better than no time, so if you can’t start at thirty minutes, begin with ten. It should be your very best time. Don't give the Lord your leftovers. And don't try to find time — make time, and make it a priority. Also find time early in the day. Psalm 5:3 says, “… in the morning will I direct my prayer unto Thee, and will look up.” You don't take the trip and then read the map, do you? Spend time alone with God to begin your day.A quiet time is fellowship with a holy God.

Labour estimates that about 50,000 Ghanaian workers will lose their jobs by August if nothing changes about the current energy situation.

Finance Minster warns against excessive subsidies

Mr Seth Terkper, Minister of Finance has cautioned that subsidies on utilities could cripple the country’s budget, if allowed to exceed unreasonable limit.
He indicated that higher subsidies on utilities and petroleum are among major factors that caused the 2012 fiscal slippage.

Mahama apologises to Dansoman residents for power-cuts

President John Mahama has apologised to the residents of Dansoman whom he said had to endure continuous power cuts for five consecutive days.
Speaking at this year's May Day celebrations, the president said he was concerned about the seeming ineffective management of the power rationing system.

"As I was preparing to come here this morning, I kept receiving numerous complaints from ordinary Ghanaians of having been without power for between 48 and 72 hours instead of the 24 hours advertised. This was particularly so, I am told, in Dansoman last week when residents went nearly five days without power due...to a fault in the system," he stated.

Chamber of commerce angry with Mahama over dumsor comments

The Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industry has described President John Mahama’s latest comments on the power crisis as unfortunate.
The Chamber believes the president could have been more measured in his statements about the power challenges.
At the worker’s day celebration yesterday, President Mahama said the crippling power crisis which has seen electricity consumers enjoy power for 12 hours and endure power cuts for the next 24 hours, is a temporary challenge.
He said smart businesses recognize this fact and are therefore “not laying off workers,” but "are rather investing more resources to expand their production in Ghana."
His comments angered many Ghanaians who have had to endure power rationing for years now.
It is estimated that some 5 thousand industry workers are set to lose their jobs by September if the situation does not improve.
