NPP U/E Chairman's Attack Is “Regrettable” – Nana Akomea


The Communication’s Director of NPP, Nana Akomea has said the death of his party’s Upper East Regional Chairman, Adam Mahama is “regrettable” after condemning the act.

According to him, whiles the party awaits police report, he entreat his party communicators to be mindful on what to say about the death of the chairman on radio.


Nana Akomea noted that Adam Mahama's death was unfortunate and urged the police to investigate thoroughly.

“The attack is serious and very regrettable. Party communicators should be careful of what they say about the issue. Let the police do their investigations after which we will make official communication,” he said on Adom FM.

Two men poured acid on the Upper East regional chairman of the party when he was returning from his construction site late in the night on Wednesday.

He was rushed to the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital where he finally passed away Thursday mid morning.

One person has so far been arrested and in police custody in connection with the attack.
