FORGIVENESS AN ACT OF LOVE !!!

Image
The word forgiveness according to the Oxford dictionary means ‘Stop feeling angry or resentful towards (someone) for an offence, flaw, or mistake; According to the Christians dictionary which is the bible, forgiveness or letting go,  simply mean  “forgiving as many times as you can,  as long as there’s a reason to”.- Matthew 18:22-25. Two types of forgiveness appear in the Bible: 1) God’s pardon of our sins- Psalm 103: 3, 12. 2) Our obligation to pardon others- Matthew 6:14-15. The subject of forgiveness is so vital to our eternal destiny. Forgiveness is an act of love. To forgive is not only to pardon, but in the end to love. God’s act of love towards mankind was to send his only son as a propitiation for our sins. That is a supreme act of love, the greatest sacrifice the universe has ever witnessed. -1John 4: 9-10. Often, we are too hard on ourselves, such that even after we have confessed our sins and received God’s forgiveness, we cannot forgive ourselves....

10 Things to Remember When Life Gets Rough

When life gets rough, it can often feel as if you can’t take anymore. It is a lonely world when you feel this way. It can be a struggle to look at the positive things. If it is a tough time for you right now, here are some things to remember: 1.Things are never as bad as they seem A problem can seem like the biggest thing in the world when you can’t see a way out of it. Try to clear your mind and think of a solution, if its a big problem, take small steps towards a solution. Can you remember something you were worried about a year ago? probably not, though at the time it took over your mind and distressed you, yet you found a way out. Do it again. 2.There is always someone worse off We all have something to be grateful for, even things that seem insignificant at the time. It is worth remembering, no matter how bad it gets, there is always someone in the world, who has it worse than you and would love to trade places. Count your blessings.

Sex and Ebola !!!

Image
When the only way to get an often fatal disease is through contact with body fluids, it makes good sense to be very careful about sexual partners and practices. But since Ebola victims can infect others only when they are showing symptoms -- high fever, vomiting, diarrhea, weakness and aches -- physical intimacy probably isn't a common way of transmitting the disease. However, the Ebola virus can survive in semen for months after a man recovers from the infection, posing an ongoing threat to sexual partners long after he is well. At a time when a man's bloodstream is swimming with antibodies, and he is immune to the disease, he still may be able to infect others..Ebola is transmitted through bodily fluids, but only after a patient begins showing symptoms, experts say.

Ebola survivors should wait at least three months before having sex: CDC

Image
The good news: You survived Ebola. The bad news: Health experts say you shouldn’t have sex for months. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends at least three months of abstinence for Ebola survivors, and urges condom use if you can’t hold out. The virus can linger in a victim’s semen for at least 70 days, according to the World Health Organization. It was not clear whether Dr. Craig Spencer, the first person diagnosed with Ebola in New York, was intimate with his fiancĂ©e since his Oct. 17 return from Guinea. She has been quarantined. Blood, vomit and feces are largely behind the rapid spread of the disease in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea. Transmission from semen, urine and breast milk is less common. Source:nydailynews
