The error-prone brochure, authored by the Information Services Department (ISD), referred to Kenya leader Uhuru Kenyatta as the President of Ghana, while describing the 59-year-old country as a “low income country” among other misrepresentations.
The ISD boss Francis Kwarteng Arthur has apologised for the gaffe and taken responsibility, but his subordinates are up in arms against his stance and calling for his resignation.
Speaking on Starr Chat on Starr 103.5FM Wednesday, Mrs Ayoade said heads must roll to serve as deterrent to others.
“It is unpardonable,” the boss of the event organizing company told her host Bola Ray. She stressed, “I think it was appalling. You just could not mix up your vocabulary and grammar.”
Mrs Ayoade added: “The axe should fall on any[one] or which way. There should be something to stamp displeasure.”
According to her, the Information Services Department (ISD) should have discarded the error-laden brochure because it has dented the image of Ghana on the international scene.
“It’s appalling that a brochure of such international significance should has grammatical errors in it. It baffles me, and who put it together? There was too much errors in one document. It is unpardonable.
“I would never have distributed it if we had seen such error,” was her answer to a question as to what her company would have done if they had printed the document. “You can’t see a blatant mistake and distribute it.”

Meanwhile, the Founder/President of the Worldwide Miracle Outreach Dr Lawrence Tetteh wants Ghanaians to temper justice with mercy, despite the embarrassment the Event Brochure for the Independence Day celebration has caused the nation.
Dr Tetteh believes humans are fallible and such blunders are bound to happen hence Ghanaians “have to look at the positive areas of the [Independence Day] ceremony.”
“To err is human,” the International Evangelist told the host of Morning Starr Nii Arday Clegg Wednesday.
