Heat wave is increasing day by day and we are not able to maintain our health because of it. The health impacts of heat wave can be dangerous as it leads to dehydration, heat cramps, heat exhaustion and/or heat stroke. But one can easily avoid health hazards by having a healthy smoothies made from vegetables and fruits
Here are some recipes for home-made smoothies that act as a perfect drink for health and helps maintain the metabolism.
Smoothie for skin - Coconut water beauty smoothie
Ingredients
1 cup Coconut water
½ cup Chopped carrots
½ cup Strawberries
1 orange
½ cup chopped mangoes
Prep time: 5 mins
Serves: 1
How to prepare
Take all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Coconut water is known for its power house of important electrolytes while carrots, strawberries, oranges and mangoes contains antioxidants and vitamins which are beneficial for the skin.
Ginger/pineapple Smoothie to increase metabolism
Ingredients:
1 medium banana
1 ½ cups fresh pineapple, diced
1 Tablespoon fresh ginger
½ cup Greek yogurt - choose any flavor you like
½ cup fresh pineapple juice - you can also use water if you want
Take all of these ingredients and blend together. Fresh ginger gives this powerful smoothie great metabolic properties
Chocolate Banana Smoothie
Ingredients:
1 medium banana
1 cup milk
1 cup crushed ice
1 quick squeeze of chocolate syrup (Maybe not so quick if you love chocolate!)
Directions:
Blend ingredients at high speed until smooth and serve in a tall glass.
Pineapple Peach Smoothie
Ingredients:
1 cup frozen peaches
1/2 cup fresh pineapple
1 cup plain yogurt
2 bananas
About 1 cup water
Directions:
Peel the bananas and throw everything in a high speed blender until smooth. The pineapple should make this sweet enough you don’t need any other sweetener. If you do add a little honey and blend again.
If you don’t have frozen fruit, you can also use fresh fruit and throw in a handful or two of ice for the berry and peach smoothies.
If you have extra smoothie leftover, pour it in a small plastic cup, stick in a Popsicle stick, or a spoon, and freeze them to make your own smoothie pops
