E/R: Police impound 2,184 slabs of ‘MTN branded wee’

The Akropong Divisional Police Command has impounded a Hyundai mighty truck loaded with a total of 2,184 slabs of compressed substances suspected to be Indian hemp.

The suspected Indian hemp also known as wee were branded with MTN logos and hidden under 64 bags of cement at Aseseeso in the Akuapem North municipality in the Eastern region.

The Akropong Divisional police commander, Chief Superintendent Charles Kofi Adu who briefed the media said the driver took to his heels immediately the vehicle was stopped for routine checks.



Police are currently searching for the owners of the truck with registration number WR 3991-14.
