Bob Okala reportedly passed away at the Koforidua Hospital in the early hours of Sunday after he collapsed on stage during a carnival at the Koforidua Jackson Park.

Bob Okala who was billed to perform at the carnival sponsored by Joy Herbal Industries collapsed after his performance.
He was subsequently rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
In an interview on Accra-based Joy FM, the Eastern Regional Police PRO, ASP Yaw Nketia Yeboah, two people reported the incident to the Police – Kofi Adams Buabeng, a relative of the late Bob Okala and the Acting Programmes Manager of Joy Industries, Augustine Boateng.
He indicated that although his outfit is waiting for the autopsy report to establish the actual cause of death, “investigations must still be done because as for the Police, whenever anybody dies suddenly, it is a homicide case and so we have to investigate to know what really happened.”
