Dare Me And I'll Join NPP To Oust Prez Mahama In 2016 – George Boateng

The 45-year-old National Democratic Congress (NDC) polling station Youth Organizer at Oyarifa aiming to challenge President Mahama is threatening to join the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in 2016 if pushed to the wall.

According to George Boateng, he will not be coerced to abandon his presidential ambition due to the incessant attacks from some party leaders.

Mr Boateng’s threat comes after NDC General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia described him as "mad" for seeking to challenge President Mahama.

General Mosquito as he is popularly called recommended that the Oyarifa branch Youth Organizer be sent to the Pantang Psychiatric Hospital to be examined because he has not picked nomination forms to contest the President as he claims.

In a rebuttal, George Boateng expressed shock at the "hypocrisy" exhibited by his party’s General Secretary.

He indicated that the same Asiedu Nketia who is questioning his mental status is the same person calling on him to rescind his decision and allow President Mahama to go unopposed.

“Asiedu Nketia is rather mad but I don’t blame him [because] he is now somebody after NDC brought him from a poverty stricken village” he said on Accra-based Oman FM.

George Boateng said no one including General Mosquito can prevent him from contesting since the NDC is not someone's private property.

He maintained that President Mahama has failed to improve the plight of the poor in the country therefore if party leadership use any "communist inferior tactics" to prevent him from contesting the November 7 primaries, “I will join NPP to oust Mahama 2016”.
