Murdered pregnant Brit died from heroin overdose – Autopsy Report

An autopsy report has revealed that the British woman, Charmain Speirs, who was allegedly murdered by her Ghanaian husband died of heroin overdose.

The prophet and leader of the Global Light Revival Church Eric Isaiah Adusah is standing trial for murdering his pregnant wife, 41, in a hotel during a recent vacation to Ghana.

He allegedly left their hotel alone, telling staff that his wife did not like to be disturbed. Her body, close to decomposition, was discovered wrapped in a white towel three days later.

Despite the latest revelation from the autopsy report, the court on Thursday, turned down the request of lawyers for the accused to be granted bail, Starr News’ Wilberforce Asare reported.

The presiding judge Ms Marian Affoh, asked the defence team to resort to the Human Rights Court if they feel she has denied them justice in their request for bail.

Lead counsel for the prophet Adumako Acheampong has served notice he will file an appeal.
