A 28-year-old Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University student, Benjamin Codjoe, has died at his apartment.
Codjoe, a first year student from Accra, Ghana, was found unresponsive in his residence hall room at the McManus Center and was pronounced dead.
Evanston police Cmdr. Joseph Dugan said, the deceased had a previous medical condition and there were no signs of foul play in his death.
Kellogg Dean, Sally Blount, in an email sent to notify Kellogg community members Codjoe’s death and condole with his loved ones said he would be deeply missed.
“Ben was a fantastic student who cared deeply about the quality and integrity of our community,” Blount wrote.
"He always had a giant smile on his face and we will greatly miss his energy and forward-looking attitude.”
A vigil was help for Codjoe on Sunday evening outside the Donald P. Jacobs Center of the School.
