Live Update: Ghana wins Guinea 3-0 in devastating style

The freekick on the edge of the area is perfectly passed to Rabiu in the box. It finds a player who just needs to direct his shot but it climbs over the goal post. |Referee whistles for the end of the game. Ghana make it in style
90' 2 Yattara sent off after deliberately stamping Gyan with his foot mid-air. Gyan denied the chance to score after his favourite connection finds him
90' 1 Beautiful counterattack after Ayew throws himself into the shot. It falls to Baba Rahman who darts off the bye line. He darts off menacingly and crosses the the opposite flank to find Ayew. He shoots straight into Yattara's hands.
90' Silly indirect freekick against Ghana. Brimah was delaying. Needless tatic. Not Ghana's style.
87' Kwesi Appiah remonstrates after he is tackled off the ball. Guinea appear resigned to defeat.
85' Afriyie Acquah comes off for Rabiu Mohammed. Rabiu started in Ghana's first game but Acquah has given him a challenge for the spot

81' Francois Kamano comes on for Abdoul Camara. Won't Avram Grant pull off his Stars? Ghana are reaching their fifth semi-final in a row. Ghana have stamped their authority and superiority at AFCON. They really look like contenders.
79’ Christian Atsu makes way for a Frank Acheampong debut. Great performance from the Chelsea loanee and the two-goal hero.
78' Another chance for Asamoah Gyan as Harrison Afful surges down the right and clips in a good near-post cross, but Gyan's header is wide.
75’ Ghana are enjoying themselves. Neat passes in the midfield and nicey breaking down Guinea buid ups as we have just seen from Afriyie Acquah
75' The Gyan connection again but with three players around him, he is easily dispossessed. The connection is yet to spark. But Ghana may not need it as they did in the game against Algeria.
74' Conte fires wide after Ghana keeper Brimah comes out to knock a ball out.
Guinea's last quarter-final appearance at this tournament ended in a 5-0 shellacking by Ivory Coast in 2008. And they have not scored more than one at this AFCON. Asking for three will be too much
71' Abrasive defending again as two Guinea players bring down Andre Ayew

68' Nasty kick at Kwesi Appiah. Yellow card for Fofana. Guinea may not finish with 11 men if they continue like this. Guinea are here because of a decision determined by lots. But they will need lots of goals to overturn the deficit. $50,000 winning bonus blown away by Ghana.

60' Goal!!!!!!!!! Waht a goal!!!!!! Inspirational stuff. Christian Atsu swings in a shot from the left dipping to beat Yattara at the far post. It is very wide but surely goal of the tournament stufff. Ghana is beyond Guinea's reach
54’ American football on display here by Baba Rahmann. The low corner was clear out but he blasts it totally out of direction
Kevin Constant is substituted. Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Naby Keita replaces him.
50'  Ghana try the Gyan connection again. A long ball from the middle by Wakaso but Gyan couldn't control it under pressure from a defender. Wakaso tries to weave through but his final shot blocked.
49' From 25 yards, Gyan crashes the ball into the wall. Atsu had been brought down on the edge of the opponent's box.
47' Final ball to find Kwesi Appiah is poor.
45' A Guinea forward heads a ball dipping into the box. But it goes wide
Game resumes

HT: Ghana will be delighted. 2-nil at half time is a great AFCON result. Is Ghana changing gears at AFCON? Yes they are. They have not been at their best but that is what big teams do. They win even at their worst. Kwesi Appiah has justified a start.

43' Goal!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cambridge Utd forward Kwesi Appiah profits from some slack Guinea passing at the back. A very alert Appiah latches on to  and its a Goal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
36' Set peices have been predictably poor. Ghana is getting lots of them after aggresive Guinea play.
33’ Yattara yellow carded after angrily pushing Atsu out of his box to collect the ball.  Atsu was offside. Yattara is lucky not to have gotten a red card. It was needless. Refeering at AFCON has been very questionable.
30’ John Boye runs onto a dipping ball from a Wakaso freekick. But too much of a stretch for the defender. John Boye would love to add to his tally.
28' A Wakaso cross into the box to find Gyan misses him. A little too high and he is sandwiched between two defenders. The two did the same thing in that win over Algeria. They will try it again, you can be sure of that.
26' Jonathan Mensah takes a freekick. Not a usual scene and true to our skepticism he hits it wide deflecting off for a goal kick
22' Atsu is muscled down for a freekick on the right side of the Guinea area. Wasted freekick after no connection
21 Late touch on Afful by former AC Milan man Kevin Constant
Guinea is having a go at Ghana who appear to have gradually settled and nestled at the back after the early lead
17' Conte releases the ball on the left to find Constant. He hits a cross to Sylla but Sylla is too over enthusiatic with the shot. Good move though.
11’ Guinea attack broken down by strong Ghana defence.
10’ Corner wasted
9’ Jonathan Mensah escapes a yellow card incident after needlessly dragging down a player inside the box.
5' Atsu low cross into the box is punched out by the keeper. He had to do that. Several Ghanaian shirts lined up to connect that delightful cross
3' Goal!!!!!!! A Kwesi Appiah  pass on the edge of the box found Ayew who lets off a back heel to find Chriatian Atsu and Gyan lined up for a shot. The Everton player Atsu picks his spot at close range with a cool finish to give Ghana the lead under 5 minutes
Guinea is playing 4-3-3 with $50,000 winning bonus while Ghana is fielding a 4-4-2 with $15,000 at stake. Who has greater conviction and desire to win?
Line up
Guinea
Yattara, Sankoh, Paye, Fofana, Camara, Conte, Cissé, Constant, Sylla, Razzagui Camara, Traoré.
Ghana
Razak Brimah Harrison Afful Baba Rahman Jonathan Mensah John Boye Afriyie Acquah Mubarak Wakaso Andre Ayew Christian Atsu Asamoah Gyan Kwesi Appiah
The two teams line up for national anthems of both teams. Ghana first. Guinea follow.
Welcome to Ghana's crucial quarter final clash against Guinea at the Estadio de Malabo. Guinea wants no revenge against Ghana having lost against the four time AFCON champions in the qualifier but they want a trophy to lift up the psyche of a nation cast down by Ebola. Ghana need a win to appease their fans they let down in Brazil under such disgraceful circumstances.
