NYPD Sgt. Alberto Randazzo
Federal prosecutors have indicted a Colorado woman on charges of conspiring with an NYPD sergeant on Skype to molest her 1-year-old, the Daily News has learned.
Keira Norton and Sgt. Alberto Randazzo each face a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison if they are convicted of the sickening charges in Brooklyn Federal Court.
Randazzo, 38, was busted by the feds in February on charges of downloading kiddie porn while free on bail in connection with state charges that he had solicited women to sexually abuse their children.
Norton was implicated after investigators seized the sordid sergeant’s Toshiba laptop computer, court papers say.
The investigators found at least 11 files of Skype video chat sessions involving Randazzo and his Internet gal pal, according to the court papers.
The federal indictment spells out the charge of conspiracy to sexually exploit a child, but papers filed in Queens Supreme Court contain stomach-churning details of the crime.
The videos show Norton carrying out verbal instructions from Randazzo to perform sex acts on the baby, NYPD Internal Affairs Bureau Sgt. Christopher Sharpe states in the complaint.
It is unclear why Norton was allegedly following Randazzo’s directions.
The videos were made in late 2010 when Norton was living in Colorado. After investigators were able to identify Norton from the videos, she was quietly arrested on state charges last year and has been held at Rikers Island because she cannot make the $100,000 bail.
Norton, 44, and Randazzo will appear together for the first time in federal court.
Randazzo’s lawyer Anthony DiFiore said his client has pleaded not guilty and declined to further comment.
Norton’s lawyer Martin Singer also declined to comment.
Randazzo, a 15-year veteran assigned to the Midtown North Precinct, is suspended from the force without pay.
Randazzo allegedly admitted to federal agents that he had downloaded about 30 video files depicting child pornography while he was free on bail in the state case.
In the state case, Randazzo is charged with possessing on his cellphone and laptop 23 still images and videos depicting lewd acts involving children as young as 1 or 2.
A Brooklyn federal magistrate judge has ordered him held at the Metropolitan Detention Center, saying he is a danger to the community.
