The construction of a sachet water factory at an old cemetery, by Buem MP, Daniel Ashiamah has left residents there fuming. According to residents of Buem old Baika, a traditional commu­nity in the Jasikan district of the Volta Region, the lo­cation of the borehole for the fac­tory used to be an old cemetery for accident victims and people who suffered mysterious deaths. A female student of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) has died after she was stabbed multiple times by her boyfriend. Medical Administrator of the Pentecost Hospital, Dr. Godwin Attoh, who confirmed the tragic incident, said the student and another young man believed to be a taxi driver were brought to the hospital early Thursday morning with stab wounds.

Ebo Panford Quainoo, a 30-year-old Marketing Executive of Vodafone Ghana, was yesterday killed by two armed robbers who raided his three-bedroom apartment at Sakumono, near Tema. The deceased, according to information, was sleeping in his bedroom when the two armed robbers wielding a pump action gun entered the house. Neighbors of the Vodafone Marketing Officer who was shot dead in his home at Sakumono, a suburb of Accra say, the assailants wanted some money the deceased had made from the sale of his BMW vehicle. They believe one of the deceased’s business partners gave the robbers a tip off.
